Sweet tooth in Singapore? Check out its finest pudding emporiums

Let's be honest, one of the best aspects of eating out is often the dessert. Somehow, after pretty much any meal, rounding it off with something chocolatey, fruity or creamy, makes a meal complete. But it's not just about hitting the sweet spot; when you eat out someone else does all the hard work for you, and makes a pudding that would be far more fabulous than you'd generally make at home.

However, now that there are so many restaurants that you can order dessert from in Singapore, there's no need to go out to eat in order to satisfy that sweet tooth. And if you fancy chocolate fudge cake, while your partner's hankering after a strawberry pavlova, it's no problem - you can just order both from two different restaurants via Deliveroo.

It's not just for those times you both want a sweet treat on the sofa, though. If you're having friends over for dinner and you don't want to spend all day in the kitchen, give yourself a break and order dessert in. So what are our favourite pudding options? Of course, there are plenty of fail-safe choices - apple pie and ice-cream, chocolate brownies, cheesecakes, tiramisu. But how about pushing your pudding comfort zone and trying something new you've never had?

We've found some of the tastiest puddings out there for you to try at home.

1. Prince of Tampines

For a wholesome blast of chocolatey goodness, try Prince of Tampines' Milo Jurassic Park, a heady mix of Milo, Oreo cookies and chocolate, blended lovingly into one heavenly cup of dessert. If chocolate's not your thing, pick one of the Prince Signature smoothies - like Chendol. Made with rice, gula melaka and chendol jelly, this is an unforgettably flavoured smoothie that will have you ordering again and again and again.

2. Pies and Coffee

Pies and Coffee has a great range of cheesecakes, tarts and cakes that can all make a perfect pud. Choose between Chocolate Raspberry cheesecake and New York cheesecake, or the Earl Grey or Sticky Date cakes. However, for out and out decadence, our vote is with the Salted Caramel Chocolate tart - a perfect combination of sweet indulgence, with just a little salty twist to it. Once you've tried it, this pud is one you're likely to order again and again!

3. Oh My Goodness!

Too often if you're gluten or dairy-free, you feel like you have to miss out when everyone else is ordering pud. However, there are more and more eateries providing great options for those who are intolerant of dairy and gluten. Oh My Goodness is one such place, and they have a special selection of sweet baked slices to suit your dietary needs. Try the Gollyzook Zuchhini-Banana slice, or the Golly Vee Vegan Lemon-Raspberry slice. The latter is light and moist, and you wouldn't ever guess it was dairy-free. Great for when you want to share, grab a Mix 'em up! special - where you can choose two or four slices of their exquisite cakes, or a two slice and cookie combo.
